Professor: Exporting Grades for a Specific Lecture or Quiz
Although post professors choose to export their Top Hat gradebook just a couple of times during the semester, some professors prefer to export their Top Hat gradebook on a daily or weekly basis. To export the grades for a specific lecture or quiz for example, you want to first access you course's Top Hat gradebook, by clicking on Gradebook in the upper banner. If you're questioned as to whether or not you want to continue, so long as you are not connected to a classroom projector, go ahead and select Yes, show grades.
Once in your course's Top Hat gradebook, click on Export in the upper right hand corner of your course gradebook page and select Advanced Export.
Next, ensure you check the box next to Select Items to Export in order to allow you to choose the specific content items to include in your gradebook export.
With this box checked, clicking Generate Excel File will provide you with the menu in which you can select individual folders, questions, demos, discussions, and pages. Your gradebook export will pertain only to the items you’ve selected.
If your goal was to export data for a specific lecture or quiz you'd simply select that specific folders worth of content and then click Ok to generate the Excel file containing your selected data.
It's as easy as that to export grades for a specific lecture, date, quiz, or assignment!
