Professor: Creating a Multiple Choice Question with Multiple Correct Answers (New Top Hat)
There are two different types of multiple choice questions with multiple correct answers that you can create. One allows students to submit just one response and they get the question correct if they submit any one of the answers you have identified as correct. The second allows students to submit multiple answers and they must submit all of the correct answers to earn the correctness grades.
To answer correctly students need to choose: Any correct answer
This is the default option when you identify multiple correct answers for a multiple choice question. Simply create your question and click on the box immediately next to Correct Answer for all answers that will be accepted and graded as correct. Students will only be able to submit one response and will earn the applicable correctness grades for submitting any one of your identified correct answers.
To answer correctly students need to choose: All correct answers
Selecting this option will allow students to submit multiple answers to this question. Simply create your question, click on the box immediately next to Correct Answer for all answers that will be accepted and graded as correct, and then select this option from the Response Options. With this option selected, students will be able to submit more than one answer at the same time and will only earn the correctness grades associated with the question if they respond with all of the correct answers.
