Professor: Deleting an Attendance Session from the Gradebook
There are a number of reasons why you may want to delete an attendance session from your Top Hat Gradebook. These include, but are not limited to, practice attendance sessions before the semester started, a lecture in which you took attendance before the add-drop period was over and you don't want to penalize students who were absent, or maybe an occasion in which you took attendance without meaning to, and again don't want to penalize students.
To delete an attendance session you want to first access your course Gradebook by clicking Gradebook in the upper banner. If you're questioned as to whether or not you want to continue, so long as you're not connected to a classroom projector, go ahead and select Yes, show grades.

Click the Attendance tab under the search field to reveal all of the attendance sessions you've taken. Identify the session in which you'd like to delete and click where it says Delete associated with that session. You will be prompted to ensure you actually want to delete this attendance session as this action cannot be undone.
If you are confident you want to remove the record of attendance for that session click Yes, delete this. The attendance record will be removed and students' grades will be recalculated so as to not include the session.
