Student: Managing my Account Information on Mobile

This article will walk you through updating your account information if you're accessing Top Hat using a mobile application, but information on updating your account information from your web browser (ex. laptop) is available here: Student: Managing Your Account Information on a Web Browser

Using our mobile applications to change your account information is a quick and easy process. First, ensure you have downloaded the most recent version of our mobile app, then follow the instructions below to update your account details.

iOS Version 5.0 and newer

  • Log into your mobile app using your account credentials
  • Tap on the cog icon in the upper right hand corner
  • Select Account Settings


This will reveal your account credentials and you can edit these elements by simply tapping on the field and entering the desired information. Once you have made your updates be sure to tap Save in the upper right hand corner to set your changes.

iOS Version 4.x and earlier

  • Log into your mobile app using your account credentials
  • From within a course, tap the menu icon (looks like 3 stacked lines) in the upper left hand corner
  • Select Courses in the bottom left hand corner to access your My Courses page
  • Tap the menu icon (looks like 3 stacked lines) in the upper left hand corner
  • Select My Account

This will reveal your account credentials and you can edit these elements by simply tapping on the field and entering the desired information. Once you have made your updates be sure to tap Save in the upper right hand corner to set your changes. 

Android

  • Log into your mobile app using your account credentials
  • Tap the menu icon (looks like 3 stacked lines) in the upper left hand corner
  • Select My Account


This will reveal your account credentials and you can edit these elements by simply tapping on the field and entering the desired information. Once you have made your updates be sure to tap Save in the upper right hand corner to set your changes. 

Can I Purchase a Subscription through my app?
We currently do not support mobile payments as we are committed to ensuring our users a safe and secure payment environment. To purchase a subscription, please log in at www.tophat.com/login from a web browser (Chrome, Safari or Firefox are recommended) and follow the on-screen instructions to complete your payment to purchase a subscription. The subscription will then apply to your account on all devices.
