Student: How to Add or Change Your Phone Number
By verifying your phone number to your account, you can take advantage of our SMS submission feature whereby you can text in your Top Hat answers shedding your reliance on the internet. To find out more about this feature click here.
Adding Your Phone Number On Web
To add your phone number to your account, first sign into Top Hat here using your account credentials. To access your account information click on your name/email in the upper right hand corner of the screen and select "My Account". This will take you to your current account credentials.
Once there, select "phone" and enter your phone number into the field given. Please make sure that you have the correct area code entered. Once you click verify, you will receive a 4 digit verification code via text. Enter the code to finish the verification process.
Adding or Changing Your Phone Number using the Android App
To add your phone number through your Android application, simply sign into the app, tap on the 3 stacked horizontal lines in the upper left hand corner, and select Account.
Tap the empty phone number field and you will be provided with the field in which to type in your mobile phone number. Once you have finished, tap OK, and then remember to Save in the upper right hand corner.
Adding or Changing Your Phone Number using the iOS App
Should you be a user of our student iOS app you’ll simply want to follow the instructions above for Adding or Changing Your Phone Number on Web. Accessing your account through a web browser is the best way in which to add your phone number to your account!
